RTIEL was pleased to partner with Studio 22 of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Friends of the Expo, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, to provide a summer media camp to high school students in Los Angeles, California!
Seven high school students who attended the week long camp and learned the art of video production, graphic design, writing, and editing. Additionally, RTIEL’s Dr. Angela Mitchell presented on “Psychology and the Media” – highlighting the students’ responsibility to produce socially responsible media that contains a prosocial message. (Prosocial Messages are defined as any communication that depicts cognitive, affective, and behavioral activities considered to be socially desirable or preferable by most members of a society.)
